Toward a Science of Consciousness: The First Tucson Discussions and Debates (Complex Adaptive Systems) (Hardcover) by Stuart R. Hameroff (Editor) Italian astrophysicist Paola Zizzi has suggested (in Emergent Consciousness: From the Early Universe to Our Mind} that during the inflationary period of the Big Bang, the entire universe was in superposition (there being no external environment to cause decoherence) which reached threshold for OR after 10-33 seconds, reducing to our present, single universe.

Ultimate Computing (Hardcover) by Stuart R. Hameroff

Philosophy DVD - What the "Bleep" Do We Know!? - Down the Rabbit Hole Quantum (2006) I must admit that I am torn about weather to recommend this DVD. It is an attempt by people looking for a "New Age" enlightenment to lend the athority of science to their cause. But even though it is obvious propiganda, the first half of the theatrical presentation is quite good at articulating some of the more confusing concepts behind Quantum Mechanics and Contemporary Physics, in a way that the average person can grasp. The DVD extra interviews are also very good, but half of them are done with quacks, and frauds, I'll let you decide for your self which ones are good (hint: look for Ph.D.).
